Breaded Mushrooms Recipe
One of my favorite dishes is Argentine milanesas, but these breaded mushrooms would be a great substitute if I were a vegetarian.
Fried breaded mushrooms are a treat any time.
As an appetizer, I usually dip them in tartar sauce, cheese, guacamole, long etc.
Ingredients To Prepare Breaded Mushrooms
- 4 Cups medium or large mushrooms
- 1/4 Cup flour
- 1 Egg, well beaten
- 1 Cup fine bread crumbs
- Oil for frying

Step by Step to Cook Breaded Mushrooms
- Wash the mushrooms and cut them in thick slices.
- In three separate plates, place flour, an egg and fine breadcrumbs.
- Beat the egg with a fork until slightly frothy.
- Dredge the mushroom slices in the flour and coat them well.
- Then dip them in the beaten egg and coat them well.
- Finally, dredge them in the breadcrumbs and coat them well.
- Place a plate with absorbent paper and a skimmer nearby.
- In a large frying pan, put enough oil for frying.
- Heat the oil over medium heat and toss in the breaded mushroom slices.
- Do not fill the pan, leave space between the mushrooms.
- Turn them over without pricking them and fry them on both sides. Mushrooms fry quickly.
- Fry until golden brown.
- Remove the mushrooms with the skimmer and put them to drain in a dish lined with absorbent paper.
- Prepare the dressings and serve.
